Last year I got a sand filter and got it working with the little pool with quite a few leaky things.

This year I have an ultraframe pool, but with the 1.25" hoses. So I'm planning on cutting holes for return and skimmer.

As far as sealing I was planning tfe paste for threads and divers silicone for not threads.

Is there anything better?

Use Teflon Tape on the threads, and silicone or Teflon based o-ring lube on rubber/vinyl gaskets, if it says 'divers' or 'pool' silicone is irrelevant.

Thanks!I didn't use silicone until late in the year and it was good. The Teflon tape was a mess, so I was going to give the sealing paste a go. It worked real well for some sink repair I did.
