Lowering water level

We got a TON of rain overnight!! I need to lower the water level fast. I just backwashed last week and don't really want to have to use more DE. Is there a way to use the Waste or Rinse on my multi port valve to drain some water without losing DE? Is gonna rain all morning...

Waste will send pool water straight out, bypassing the filter.

Pull water to waste and it will bypass the filter and go straight to the lawn.

Next time use a garden hose, push it fully into the water to fill the hose, plug one end and take it to a spot lower then your pool. Pull the opposite end up to where you want the water level to be and put something heavy on the hose to hold it at that height. Voila, good ole siphon stops when the water in the pool drops below the end you had in the high water.
