OK, we are going away again, but now the sun is really strong, on the pool ALL DAY and it's HOT out. We have someone staying at the house and she is going to use the pool so I can't bring it up to SLAM. Our pool has been using anywhere from 8-13 cups of bleach a day.
(seems like a lot, I actually had to dump almost a gallon in the night before, but I digress until later) If I have her add 9 cups daily and float a tab, do you all think we will be OK? I am so nervous to get another algae outbreak! I delt with that
again about a month ago!
My#'s are as follows...
FC = 8
CC = 0
pH = 7.8 (but added MA to lower it to 7.2)
TA = 120
CH = 50
CYA = 60
MY BLEACH ISSUE: Just curious as to what your thoughts are as to why I need to be putting in that much bleach daily.
I have NOTHING in the pool, no stairs, no lights... nothing.
I have never let it drop below the recommended # after my last alae debacle, I even added points to my # to make sure it never drops below that again.
I am supposed to be at 7-9 I try to keep it between 9-11 (I think I let it drop below my lowest target# and that's why I had the last outbreak)
My pH usually sits around 7.5
I am having a heck of a time getting that TA to come down (we don't have any way to aerate the pool other then the kids splashing their hearts out.)
