Backwash leaking while in Filter Mode - Jandy 8034

I have a Jandy 8034 backwash valve. Last week I noticed the backwash was leaking water while in filter mode. The water is coming out of this small metal nut looking thing in the pipe. I believe no water should be coming out of there while in filter mode. Some research suggested to replace a spider gasket, but this Jandy does not have that. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

That sounds like a problem with the multiport valve spider gasket. If its not entirely intact it may be allowing water to flow back in to the backwash line while the rest goes back into pool circulation. But you say it doesn't have one?? Does it have an O ring or anything under there?

It sounds like you may need to replace the o-rings. Here is a link describing the parts for your valve.
