Can I store chlorine in a brand new 5 gallon plastic gas can?

Hi,

Is there any risk of bad things happening if I were to use a 5-gallon brand new plastic gasoline tank to store chlorine?

The gas can would be out of sight so no risk of someone accidentally filling their car with chlorine period

I would plan to rinse the gas can out a number of times before using it even though it's brand new

Other than it being poured into an engine there's no risk I can think of. Rinse isnt needed in my opinion but it wont hurt. Id still label it bleach just incase...

Yes, I'd definitely put some labels on it.

Some cans nowadays are vented. You will have a chlorine smell if your's is.
