Rising Ph

eye,

My guess is that you are trying to keep your pH at 7.2... I find it much eaiser to keep Ph at 7.7 to 7.8. It tends to stay there for a much longer period of time before I have to add MA again.

Also TA has a great effect on what happens to pH.

How are you testing your water? :testresults:

CC
pH
TA

eye,

I suggest you try this.... https://www.troublefreepool.com/content/129-how-to-lower-lowering-total-alkalinity

I would start by lowering your TA to 70 and see how that works. If that does not work well, you can try a TA of 60.. Each pool is a little different.

I find this works best for me if I test every 3 or 4 hours and keep it up until the TA is where I want it. I then keep aerating, and testing, until I get the pH back up to above 7.6.

Thanks,

Jim R.
