Had my pool painted and the workers painted my two pvc 1.5" return to pool lines. Now I cannot get my polaris or other equipment on it. I tried PVC rubber compression fittings but i did not stick as the threads to surface is less than 3/4 inch. I cannot even get a tool to rethread as the pvc pipe is "indented" in the side of pool wall. Im in a pickle. Is there any kind of inner compression pipe I can use that would have an outer 1.5" thread male fitting? or any other way to resolve this? I tried to chisel the expoxy paint off and also tried to rethread with a iron pipe but no luck. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
