If my previous results are:
pH: 7.4
Bromine: 4
Alkalinity: 60
Calcium: 200
Using "effects from adding chemical: from pool math. How do I determine how much my pH will increase by 0.1?
Raise alk by 48?
I input 16oz of baking soda. It says:
raise TA by 48 and raise pH by 0.1
Thanks. Aloha

1500 gallons
bromine
3 hp Pentair motor.
triton ll tr100 filter.

yes Kim,
thank you.
I wanted to know how much pH will go up from 7.4 to 7.5 or 7.6 or 7.7 and such after I added 16 oz of alkalinity .Not sure how much 0.1 is . is this ppm or something else?
I also don't know the effect of "48".
It says " raise TA by 48 and raise pH by 0.1"

What that means is that, if you have 1500 gal entered at the top of PoolMath, if you add 16oz of baking soda to your pool that it will raise TA by 48 ppm and raise PH by 0.1, ie from 7.5 to 7.6.
