Fighting constant high PH

I'm another person whose pool's pH is much more stable with a TA around 50 or 60.

Same here, I'm glad it's not just me. My TA was low last year (50-ish) so I adjusted it up to 80 and had nothing but problems with rising PH for the rest of the season. This year TA is in the 50-60 range again and I have left it alone. I adjust PH at most once a week, 2-3 cups of acid. Very predictable.
