low pH, High TA, almost zero FC...HELP!!!!

We have some new numbers

FC 10
TC 10
CC 0
TA 228
pH 7.2
CH 181
CYA 12

pool store said to use muriatic acid to lower the TA. I plugged the numbers into the pool calculator, but was wondering if there was any other ideas.

You need to get a good test kit...get the TF-100

While I believe that you TA is probably high...I am suspect of your test result...CYA cannot be reliably measured as 12...the same goes for TA and CH....

Get a good test kit and post your results...
