New to forum. I am from KY. Building our own I vinyl liner steel wall pool. 18x36 sand filter, salt water system. Our excavator dug the hopper too big and the slopes are too steep. What can we do to fix this problem? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I have seen crushed rock and sand is used to "sculpt" the bottom before vermiculite is put in. exactly how they do it I am unsure, who is doing your vermiculite install, maybe they will be able to fix it

Thank you. I will check with a local Pool company. We originally planned to finish bottom ourselves but this may be more than we can handle
