The 12" isn't really ideal for a pool much over 12'-14' round (it can't handle a high GPM/GPH pump).

Suggestions are 14" is the smallest for AGP 14-16', I'd do at least 16"+ for pools over 16' round =), the bigger the filter the better for sure
