Last year I used a nature2 inline chlorinator with the mineral pack. After reading a few post of how bad they are I was wondering best way to chlorinate pool? Don't want to use a floater as I have solar cover on a lot.
Welcome to TFP! Best way hands down is using bleach. Has the least side effects and will save you major money! Why stop there though? Consider using baking soda and borax in place of alkalinity up and ph up respectively. This is what we call the BBB method.(bleach, baking soda, borax)
If you don't mind me asking, how are you testing your pool water?
Blake is correct. You can see the TFP Recommended Chemicals link below in my signature. As a comparison, I recently saw at the pool store Alkalinity-Up was 3Xs the price of regular baking soda at the grocery store. TFP management is good for your water AND your checkbook.
