I'm new to TFP, but man do I wish I would have found this site 3 years ago when I bought this house. After 3 days of running my pump this year and starting the SLAM process I suddenly started to lose 3-4" in a 24 hour period and to make matters worse the liner floated and came out of the track. Water level behind the liner is exactly the same as pool level no matter where I fill level to. I followed advice and filled level back high turned the pump off and the leaking has seemed to stop but it's hard to tell if the the liner is settling. Mind you we have had 0 rain this week so I don't see how it could be ground water. I believe one of my returns is forcing water behind the liner so I'm looking at advice on how to attack this problem and return my liner to usable form.
My current plan of attack is to suck the water out using either a portable pump or my pools vacuum hose then re-attach the liner make a temporary return back to my pool so I can continue to SLAM while finding and fixing the leak (if level stops dropping with the temporary return).
