Our pool is less than a year old and we just had it opened two days ago. I followed the TFP method since it was installed last summer and never had the slightest algae problem. Of course I did my own chemical balancing before the pool company closed it last October, and I just tested the water for the first time since then. Here are the results:

FC: 3.5
CC: 0.5
pH: 7.5
TA: 90
CH: 225
CYA: 55
CSI: -0.13

I'm thrilled! All I have to do is add some chlorine to get that CC down to zero the the FC up to about 4 and I'm golden. I plan on swimming tomorrow!
