Clogged Vacuum Line

I have a clogged vacuum line and have a couple questions about un-clogging the line.

1. Is the Peterson Canvas HydroFlush any better than the Drain King?
2. How long can it take for hydro-flushing take to work?
3. I read if you try flushing from the pool to pump to turn on the pump to provide suction. It that safe?
4. Is it possible the clog is at a valve and can be resolved by taking the valve apart?

As always any help appreciated!

You should have a basket in the pump that should catch the stuff BUT there is always the possibility some of it could get past the basket. In that case you will have to take the pump end off and clean up the impeller. I have had to do a couple of times and it is no big deal.
