when I begin to use hand vac connected to skimmer, I all of a sudden get a huge back bubble, loose my prime. The pressure is strong enough to kick my vac hose right off the skimmer. I then need to re-prime pump and start over.
Hello and welcome to TFP! Not sure what you mean by back bubble. But to confirm ... are you filling-up the vacuum hose with water before attaching and trying to vacuum?
Also, please add your pool info to your signature by going to the top of the TFP web page (just under the Pool School button) and select "SETTINGS". On the next page look to the left for a menu bar that says, “MY SETTINGS” and go to "EDIT SIGNATURE" to enter your pool and equipment info there. It will help us later.
