So my water is finally starting to look much better. I think a few more days it should be good to go. Now I'm trying to get these stains off of the liner. Does anyone have any tricks ? I'm using a sponge and the pool water right now and it's getting the heavy stuff off but not the actual stain.

If it's underwater then chlorine should eventually get it. Mr Clean magic eraser might work too.
It's above the water line but great idea I can't believe I didn't think of it I use those erasers on everything. Thank you.
Getting very close. Been almost 3 weeks so so close but can't seem to lose that green tint. Glad I bought they TF-100 with the XL option.

Brush those brown/green areas really hard. Push with all the strength you can muster and see if it makes a difference.

The water seems to have a green tint but if I fill a bucket it's clear. I've been scrubbing the walls like crazy for weeks. I recently found out from a neighbor that the pool hasn't been opened for several seasons so I'm sure the algae was growing like crazy. It does look MUCH better than it did when I started that's for sure. It's just taking for ever.
Any updates? Have you checked for hidden algae under your steps, behind lights, weirs, etc.?
So I'm done slamming my pool water looks Great Wall and floors are clean. I started letting everything drift down Wednesday morning and just tested the water now. I noticed my CYA dropped to zero is that normal ?

my wife and I really didn't think it was possible to make this water clear again. We are both amazed and the kids are very excited to get swimming ASAP. It's almost 90deg here.

CYA dropping to 0 is certainly not normal.
What was it during the SLAM? Is the dot at all obscured or is the solution crystal clear?

CYA strarted at around 30 and went up to 50 than back down to 30 then 20. This was over a 4 week period of slamming the pool. It was closed for years and the water was black.
Did it hold FC overnight? Did you remove any water during the SLAM?
If you are holding FC then you need to add CYA to help buffer the FC.

It did hold FC over night and my CC was .5 and I actually forgot that I did drain a bunch of water out to repair a leak at the return fitting so that's probably were I lost my CYA. I will post pics soon.
