my fiberglass pool bottom has a few spots that look like there is just dirt on the bottom. When you brush it, it is still there. chemicals are all normal levels. Have a sand filter. just curious if anyone else has the same problem and how to remedy it?

Can you give us some reliable test results (generally NOT those from test strips or pool store testing) to include: FC, CC, TA, pH and CYA? Sometimes what people think is "balanced" is actually far from our recommended chem levels. This is the first step in trying to determine what might be going on with your pool.
We recommend either the Taylor's K-2006 or the TF100 test kit. Both can be found at TFTestkits.net but you can often find the Taylor kit locally or via Amazon.
Also, I can suggest you dabble your toes in the Pool School articles about all things pool care. I suggest you start with Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry and move on from there.
