Pour slowly in front of a return near the deep end. Slowly as in it would take a couple of minutes to empty the bottle. Let the pump run for at least 30 minutes to ensure good mixing.
You can see a kind of haze as you introduce the bleach/chlorine in, if you do it slowly/correctly the jet from the return will quickly dissipate that.
Just make sure you don't go too fast...I did that a few months back and could see the haze of the chemical near the bottom of the deep end, then
I had to adjust the jet down to clear it up sitting there.
My deep end jet has to point level and slightly over to my skimmer or the leaves never get skimmed.
Agree on the deep end/return part. I almost always brush at least the deep end if I am adding more than a little chlorine. Also, your pool is good-sized. I would keep the pump on for at least an hour for mixing.
