Arg. Prime is usually 2-day. Oh well. My concern is just that your CYA may be getting high with the floater and the "shock" packets. Do your guess-strips test CYA?

I've also been running the pool vacuum for 24 hours and just switched it to the skimmer

Well, don't trust their number and don't buy anything. BUT if the CYA test shows high (~60 or higher) take the floater out until your test kit arrives and just use the cup o' bleach daily.
Pump, filter, skimmer, vacuum.... This is a pretty fancy splash pool!!! Take a pic tomorrow and send it along.
Yes, the sun burns off chlorine. We just don't know how much protection (CYA) you have at the moment. I guess if it gets too high you can easily drain some water and dilute the CYA if need be. An advantage of the smaller pool size! Your decision about the floater. No worries!

Yes I did. Started testing this evening. I'm not sure if I did the CYA test correctly because the black dot didn't dissappear. My pH is 8 or more and alkalinity 250 ppm. FC 2 ppm 0 CC. Looks like I need muriatic acid

Yup. Get the MA tomorrow. You have the floater and the "huge" bucket of pucks. You could throw that back in tonight. It will give you some FC and some CYA.

You can actually use that cal-hypo. Won't hurt your CH.... And will add FC. Just be very careful to brush after adding. It takes a long time to dissolve.
