We have an intex saltwater generator. It turns on, then goes to sleep saying high salt. We are trying to drain it to get the levels right, but I just want to make sure I'm right that it is not working until we get the salt level right, correct?

You might want to get the salt level test kit from TFTestkits.net to be sure of your salt concentration.

I'm following this post because we're having the same issue. We drained ours about 8 inches last night and it's still saying high salt "sleep" so now I'm draining again then will add fresh water. I have an intex 16x48 and found out my husband added 35 lbs more than was needed. They say it only works if you partially drain it, and I'll see today when I drain more than the 8in that didn't work last night. I've also been reading some of these forums that are saying the sensors could be wrong on some.
