Hello all! I am in the process of having a pool built (just finished rebar) and am getting to the point of having to pick out tile for the pool. My pool build seems to be really against anything other than a 6” tile. Of course I love the smaller tile 
especially the 1” tile. I have picked out a few by a tile company called Fujiwa which seems to be a reputable brand. My builder has brought up that the smaller tiles can some times “pop off” and that there is more grout to clean. I am at about 3000’ asl (30 minuets from Yosemite ) and we do get a bit of snow in the winter. I’m wonder if colder temperatures would be the reason for the tiles comming loose. He has been in business for many years and has a good reputation so I hate to good against his recommendations but I am not a big fan of the 6” tile!
