Hey everyone, I read through a bunch of posts here about air temperature sensor being off. Most of the threads say the reading is too high and they're worried their freeze protection won't kick on, and the advice seems to be sensor location.
I have the exact opposite issue. My sensor is...
Hi! First time poster. Last spring/summer we were caring for a terminally ill dog in a wheelchair and did not end up opening our pool at all, so it was closed for 2 years. The winter cover shredded in places, and we opened the pool a month ago to a brown, smelly swamp. Went through 30 bottles...
Hi y'all,
I have a Pentair system connected via ScreenLogic. The spa temp was set to 104, but the app showed 108 as the final temp, and I believe it was at that temp. Any thoughts on why the app would continue heating past the set point?
Thanks.
I tend to not formally close my uncovered outdoor plaster pool since it doesn't freeze where I live, but at a late-in-the-day water temperature high of around 60 degrees F (15 C) it's currently too cold for me to swim in (this temperature point occurring around November 1st each year).
If I...
Hi All,
I scoured existing threads and couldn't find a similar scenario. Back in June, my iChlor 30 (installed in April of this year with the new pool) started to provide a temp roughly 10 degrees higher than my electronic pool thermometer. I validated my pool thermometer's accuracy by...
Hi all! Looking for help on where to look at this problem with my Raypak Analog gas heater - model 106A.
Heater will not warm the water above 84 degrees even with the thermostat turned all the way up. This has been going on for several weeks.
I used to be able to warm the water to 90 degrees...
I have already replaced all sensors and the thermistor twice, so its not those. So the problem is when the heater is not running the temperature of the actual spa and the heater unit are the same(working). As soon as the heater begins running, the spa temperature will begin rising and the...
Our pump thermometer and our heater thermostat are both reading near 80°F, but our floating thermometer is reading a full 10° lower. My son went swimming yesterday, and he said the water at the bottom is definitely warmer. Is it normal for the cooler water to be at the top? This seems to go...
So i installed the solar sensor on the the same roof face but not thinking i glued it to the supply and return pipes instead of the roof surface away from the arrays and the piping. My question is should i get back on the roof and move it. Do you think the pipe temp will radiate thru the roof...
I live in Georgia and our pool was at 92 degrees yesterday, it wasn't a very refreshing swim. What are some of the best ways to keep the water cool? We were thinking of getting a big sail shade to put over it.
Hello,
Opened pool up for the season yesterday and turned heater on today. It appears to light the blower is on and the flow is fine. It does not sound anywhere near as loud as it used to and the water returning back to the pool is at most 2゚ warmer. Any thoughts?
This is my first year closing the pool. I understand it is desirable to open the pool before the temperature hits 60F - I'm not sure what time of year that is for me. Recently, on cloudy, normal temperature days, the first inch of water is 58F and 6 inches down it is 52F. On a sunny above...
