Right, I don’t really know where it was stored before purchasing from pallets inside store. But if we assume inside storage , is there any calculation to figure out how quickly it breakdown?

I just bought 10 jugs of Walmart liquid chlorine for 5.47 gallon date 100th day of 2023. How long before this starts to breakdown ? It was located inside store . Trying to decide if I should buy more before it’s gone .

Not sure if I should start a new thread,but....There were three tiles were off the pool under the spa spill over when we opened. Now there are 4 more off . Today when brushing, I knocked 2 tiles off inside the spa. Would this be due to age (almost 25 yrs old) or water chemistry? the plastic...

So bad storms early am, didn’t get outside to get a sample. A few inches a rain so far, and looks like I need to get some water out when the rain stops. Then do I test the CYA to see if I lost the stabilizer I had put in, and keep on going?

Was real close early am, dosed until 11, then out for awhile. Came back to TC 4! Also see a few dark brown / yellow spots . Could this be metals... well water was added when opened.

Ok at 7:15 TC 6.0 CC .05 so do I dose to 12 take a readimg before dark ,and then make sure that reading is not more then 1 less in the early am?

Ok Thanks ... I have a 7 lb bag of stabilizer, so I would use all but 24 oz? Don’t want to add to much ,and I think it would be easier to measure like this.

Well the ammonia strip I have measures between 0- 0.5 .i haven’t done any bleach dosing since 7am. Should I dose tp. 10 or 5 and then check it that way or go the right to adding the stabilizer?

Well there is always a small amount of water through the jets at pool filter setting that spills over into the pool. I have only ever used the blower when I want heavy bubbles when I am in the spa and the filter is set on spa mode. - - - Updated - - - Sorry.. I will away for a couple of hrs...

Sorry having hard time uploading photo all of a sudden. But my test kit is in increments of 0.2 ex 7.0, 7.2 , 7.4 etc - - - Updated - - - Haven’t tried, the last advice was to dose to 5. So I guess it is holding since I dosed to 5 at 7am.

Reagents finally arrived . Here are results! FC 1 CC 2 TA 120 CYA 0 pH 7.0 ( looks like might be Lowe, but my kit only reads to 7.0 WAter appears slight hazy , not crystal clear. What is my next step ? Increase CYA ? also I have a heater and understand the pH should be higher , is that correct?
