No trouble at all. I pushed skimmer mounting plates all the way to the top of the heat seam, just below where the top rail pocket starts. Be sure to use silicone inside and outside along with the butterfly gasket. Try not to overtighten the screws into the faceplate of the skimmer.

I used the Anti Fatigue mats from Harbor freight between my Intex 12 x 24 liner and the concrete pad the pool sits on. There is not enough height in the pads to worry about. The weight of the water in the pool will effectively flatten the mats, but they still do a good job protecting the liner...

SWWash...PVC plumbing your pool and equipment is not as mysterious as it sounds. The best advice I can give you is to ask lots of questions, plan well, work carefully and take your time. If you draw up a simple diagram and post it, TFP members will give you the advice you need.
