    Tablet Chlorinator

I run it at 2700 rpm. Been doing that for a year or so. I can manually close a valve that goes to the chlorinator, take the chlorinator cap off, reopen the valve for a few seconds, see that the chlorinator fills up, turn the valve off, and see the water inside the chlorinator recedes. The...

    Tablet Chlorinator

Earlier this spring I switched to an automated liquid chlorine system. My original table chlorinator is still in place as well. I also had a few gunite repairs that caused me to drain most/all of my pool. My CYA after the refill was close to 0. I used tablets to get the CYA level up then...

    White spots

I am finding that since the acid wash my Polaris 280 had been picking up a lot of sand-like material. The pool currently is back to original color. Maybe the sand-like material is the white stuff?

    White spots

PLater company guys came out. put a bunch of muriatic acid in the pool then tied a recirculating pump just below the surface of the water to keep the pool stirred up. ran it for 4 days, adding more acid after day 2. 90% of the white spots cam off.

    White spots

My guess was he was going to acid wash it then polish it. Not sure what polish it means. Also wondering if after 18 months if it has reached its final amount it is going to make the white blotches and thus this would fix it or will it continuously keep doing it.

    White spots

The company who plastered the pool came today. He said he thought that if we drain the pool he could treat all the areas and polish the surface and make them go away.

    White spots

I wasn't sure which category to post this in as I do not believe this is an algae problem. In February I had my pool resurfaced with Quartzscape in French Gray. On both the floor and walls I have these white spots/blotches cover a high percentage of the pool area. I have scrubbed them but...

    Pool ring

I watched a youtube video on bead blasting. It said it was blasting with a glass product. I assume that is safe to be around the pool barefoot after the job was through. Is this a machine you can rent at Home Depot? I have an air compressor. Any other precautions needed to be taken?

    Pool ring

Update on the ring around my pool. The dark ring is gone. I've been trying to tackle the white ring above it. I've tried multiple applications of muriatic acid (some at almost full strength), bleach, scrub brush, and pumice stone. The white ring won't seem to go away. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Pool ring

Had a little sprinkle here in Houston yesterday. Just enough to raise the humidity yet another 10%. I plan to spray the flagstone coping again today and just leave it on there to soak in.

    Pool ring

yesterday I put 50/50 muriatic and water in a spray bottle and went around the pool. Not sure why but a few places foamed up. I then let it sit for a few minutes the scrubbed with a bristle brush. Scrubbing had little effect. I then sprayed another coat and let it sit for 10 minutes then...

    Pool ring

I wasn't sure which section to post this in. I have been doing the TFP method for over a month now. My pool has never been more clear. I have a flagstone around the waterline of the pool. It has a dark ring that has been there for a long time. Today I took a 3" chlorine tab and rubbed it...
