Reducing maintenance cost???
The costliest mistake people I know make is running their pumps more than they need to. I know people that run 1.5 and 2 hp pumps for 12 to 16 hours a day because their PB told them to, or they just want their water fall on all the time, not because they need it. Turn the Solar heater on
Mostly I think it depends on if you have a solar cover or not and the night time temps. It does not cost too much more to run, so why not if you have a cover? Currently, with daytime temps in the high 60s, low 70s and nighttime temps in the 40s, I can heat the pool to about 68 during the day...- lborne
