SWG pool liquid chlorine or SLAM requirements?

Thank you, I was unclear if I had to do the whole process of maintaining the slam FC level, or if I just had to raise it, and throw on the cover. It sounds like your telling me, since the pool is already cold, and will be covered from the sun, that the chlorine will linger much longer through...

SWG pool liquid chlorine or SLAM requirements?

So my pool is now at 54 degree water temp, 50ppm CYA, 5ppm FC, 0ppm CC, and ph 7.5, I am wondering if, when closing, should I simply add some liquid chlorine and cover soon after? Or do I need to follow the entire SLAM process, even though the water is pretty cold, and crystal clear right now.

Closing a newly installed/ filled pool

FWIW, I too replaced my above ground pools liner last year right about this same date, and I filled it almost up to the skimmer also. I also converted it to SWCG this spring when I opened it up, so I just basically left the water as it was, without adding anything at all. I live in Maine, so...

Closing pool immediatly after new liner and city water refill, what steps needed?

Closing pool immediatly after new liner and city water refill, what steps needed?

Well it's actually only been about 10-12 days since I filled the pool, and FWIW the water came out of the supply VERY cold (I could barely tolerate walking around in it to get the wrinkles out of the liner) The water is now only about 60-65 deg. at the surface now. other than some bugs and a...

Closing pool immediatly after new liner and city water refill, what steps needed?

Well that answer brings up another question, If I did just leave it until spring, should I definitely be expecting the pool to be green. If so would opening it as early next season as I can help to mitigate the algae. The only algae I have really had to battle was when my cya was through the...

Closing pool immediatly after new liner and city water refill, what steps needed?

I'm just wondering what should be done to this fresh water if the pool is not going to get used at all, and will be covered immediately? So we had our old liner rupture last month, and caused quite a blow-out in the floor of the pool. I had also been dealing all summer with CYA levels through...
