I went to run the polaris today and i noticed a lot of air coming out of my return jets. i figured out that the water level in the skimmer closest to the pump was dropping very low and letting a ton of air in. there was also a strange white cloud of something coming out of the wall connection...

I'll have to check, I seem to remember seeing a fine mist of bubbles when looking at the jets underwater, but that was last year.

Yes, the shaft does spin easily, so by extention the pump should spin freely?
