    Pump Recommendations Please

Looking for a VS pump. My Haywards bearings are whining really loud now and it’s 10 plus years old anyways. Looking at this one from inyo pools. We have a 33k gallon plaster salt pool with a jacuzzi sandstorm filter. https://www.inyopools.com/Products/44400018088433.htm

Need Pump and filter advice PLEASE

No I ended up getting a used Hayward VS pump from a local guy. Set up the timer and speeds I wanted and leave it alone. Extremely quiet and works great.

Loud Pump - Seeking Replacement Advice

Man that’s awesome! You will love the pump. Unfortunately our power company is run by the city we live in and they don’t offer rebates except on appliances and even then it’s like only $250. Better than nothing I guess.

Loud Pump - Seeking Replacement Advice

Yeah that doesn’t sound good. I just picked up a Hayward Variable Speed 1.5hp with a built in timer and I’m in love with it. Well worth the money if you can find one that fits your pool. You can call Inyo pools and they’ll give you recommendations. They’re very helpful.

Thanks I appreciate that. Are used pumps worth buying if the price is right?

What have you found in your skimmer...

Nothing too strange mostly the basic stuff. Unfortunately we did have a rabbit last year. Thankfully no snakes yet. I’m deathly afraid of them so I don’t know how I’d get one out. Probably just jinxed myself.

    Hayward VS Pump Question

Can someone tell me how old this pump is please? I found it locally for sale and want to know how old it is before I buy it. Are pumps worth buying used? I have a 1hp single speed Jacuzzi magnum force now that’s several years old.

Need Pump and filter advice PLEASE

Thanks and I agree. I did call INYO and they don’t have the replacement parts anymore. Their pump filter recommendation was just too expensive for my budget. Going to try the Rx Clear Radiant 24” filter with 1hp pump combo.

Need Pump and filter advice PLEASE

So I need to order some parts and want to make sure I’m on the right track. First off I did a diy winterization and failed. Lesson learned. Forgot to shopvac the lines out. After repairing the busted pipes I noticed my filter housing on my pump is severely cracked at the bottom below the...

    What is the Port for?

I leave it off all the time as I did not know what it's for. Where can I get a cover for it?

    What is the Port for?

This port hole has a pretty powerful suction when I turn the valve to open. Is it for vacuuming and should it be on all the time? i have 2 holes in my skimmer. Not sure if it's related to this.

Gone fishing... In the skimmer pipe.

Going to go sand on the lid for a bit and see if I can get a better fit.

Gone fishing... In the skimmer pipe.

Got it out with a magnet. I think I'm going to tie something larger to it that floats. Got plenty of sticks I could use. Definitely a laughable learning experience.

Gone fishing... In the skimmer pipe.

Well this morning my daughter was cleaning out the skimmer basket and kicked a screwdriver in the skimmer and down she went. We have to use a flathead screwdriver to get the skimmer lid off. Sits in the too tight. Luckily it looks to be less than 2 ft to the 90* turn in the pipe and the...
