I hear ya. I’m in the same boat and not a huge fan of landscaping DIY. But for what the landscapers want to charge I’m definitely going to be doing most of it myself!

I am so glad we are able to swim now, but daunting to think what I still have left to do, mainly the landscaping and lighting, ugh. Oh and fixing the sprinkler system. In the meantime, PB is managing start-up for 30 days and then they will start-up the SWG. I am planning on managing the pool...

The PB has talked about sealing it to change the color. Only issue is it wears off and you have to re-do it later on as you know. I was hoping for something that didn’t need to be re-done every couple of years. I am no concrete expert so not sure if a solution even exists that is maintenance...

Well, the deck color still isn’t correct but they finished the sitting wall and installed the pool equipment (minus the chlorinators). They also cleaned up a majority of the trash, thank goodness! Ready for plaster, hopefully, early this week!

So we got our deck poured and stamped yesterday (yay!) but the color does not even appear to be remotely correct. The tan colored deck picture is supposed to be what ours is similar to. The other pictures are ours. The concrete was supposed to be integral colored using a light wheat colored dye...

Thank you! It’s a lot, definitely over 1000 sqft. We made some changes from the original so not sure on the exact amount. I’ll bust out the plan tomorrow and see how close I am

Patio was back filled with road base and rebar set. Waiting on city inspector to come and okay the rebar and bonding and we should be pouring the patio on Monday! I can not wait!!! Tired of the dust and mud. I think my dog will miss it though, haha

They should be setting the equipment on the pad and hooking it up to the plumbing soon. What do I need to look out for when they are doing that. What are the best practices and nice to haves at this step?
