my current marcite finish is peeling off- which means it is not adhered to the pool anymore. If they just put a new layer on top of it, would it not come off together? or would they grind away the existing marcite before resurfacing? (I don't think that would be common practice)

I already have a landscape transformer and I love it- however the pool-specific intermatic transformer has a grounded shield between secondary and primary- I think it is an important safety feature for a pool light. - - - Updated - - - this one is better- at least it's outdoor rated

They said they will remove plugs- and IF additional de-watering is needed, that would be in addition to the quoted price. They put a provision in the contract specifically that they will not be held responsible for structural damage in event of pool floating.

How do you remove ground water? is it not enough to open the pressure valve to allow ground water to enter the pool, before draining?

one corner is ~2 inches high. I was told many years ago they drained the pool and it moved, damaging the bottom drain

the remodeling contractor said they will open the pressure release valves- but the pool has history of floating and they said they cannot guarantee it will not float again.

just curious- I am new to the whole world of home improvement

so I did some digging- the guy used to be licensed but current status says "void/null". Any idea why a contractor would lose his license?
