    Repairing waterfall and decking cracks

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Attached are new pics. First pic is the entire length of the hairline crack. Second picture shows more of the deck. The purple paths are deep trenches in the concrete that extend from the pool edge to the mulch. I clean them out each summer. They are not cut...

    Repairing waterfall and decking cracks

Hi, I have a 3 tier waterfall and have gone through a few leak repairs. - Crack in the base was repaired with quikrete and then painted over w/ pond shield. The pond shield started peeling off 2 years later, but the quikrete lasted. - Two foot length crack in the wall of the bottom pool was...

V-Green 270 pump user interface display issue - Pureline PL2626

I went ahead and reattached the user interface and the display works now. If I'm being honest, I don't think I did anything to fix it. I did remove the wires from the connector instead of just pulling the connector out and cleaned the lcd connector with some rubbing alcohol, but aside from...

V-Green 270 pump user interface display issue - Pureline PL2626

Hi, I replaced a Hayward pump with a variable speed Pureline Pump in 2019 and it's been working pretty well except last summer, the digital display stopped working. My previous schedule had been saved so I was able to get the pool opened by using the override buttons to keep it running, but I'd...

Winterizing the Heat Pump, DE Filter and Antifreeze questions

Thanks so much for replying... I'll plan to cover the pump pipe openings and try to find the drain plug for the heat pump. For the skimmers, I was planning to use the empty (and capped) antifreeze bottles as my gizmos since that's what our pool closers have always done. Thanks again!

Winterizing the Heat Pump, DE Filter and Antifreeze questions

I finally bought a cyclone after 15 yrs of opening/maintaining the pool ourselves, but always hiring someone to close it. Today, I successfully blew out the lines through the skimmer. In total, we cleared 4 wall returns and 1 waterfall plus airlocked 2 in-ground returns and 1 main drain...

First time Closing ourselves - help! feedback on my planned steps pls

Hi, Thank you for replying - sorry, life got away from me so I'm picking this thread up again. I ended up buying a cyclone from aliexpress (took a chance and it's legit). I bought a this adapter https://a.co/d/izG7CCh and this hose https://a.co/d/2YyBsUI. Need to buy some RV antifreeze and then...

First time Closing ourselves - help! feedback on my planned steps pls

Hi, sorry, I know this time of year is busy for the forum, but was wondering if you had any questions about my steps. I'm very nervous about starting without getting feedback from the experts here. Thanks so much!

First time Closing ourselves - help! feedback on my planned steps pls

Thanks. Do you see anything wrong with the other steps? They aren't direct from our pool professionals. I came up with them after looking back at some pictures I took during a closing 14 years ago plus reading up on TFP. So I'm guessing there might be some red flags in there. Thanks again.

First time Closing ourselves - help! feedback on my planned steps pls

First, thanks in advance for clicking on my post. Really Appreciate any feedback you can provide. Thanks to TFP, I have been opening the pool myself since we bought our house/pool 15 years ago. I am pretty familiar with our equipment, having made several upgrades/changes over the years. But...

Running pool robot before turning pump on

Thanks for responding. I suppose I should be a little more patient then. Hehe. Just excited, I guess. I usually open the pool with it caked with leaves but used those water tubes around the deck and they really helped prevent leaves from slipping under the cover.

Running pool robot before turning pump on

Hi, I have a warrior SI. I removed the cover today to find a green pool but not nearly as bad as other years. I can see the main drain at 8+ ft. My husband typically removes the return covers because they are hard to reach with a 2ft rock wall but he can't do it until later this week. I'm...

Any ideas where does this newly disconnected wire (oops) should go? Aquacal Heat pump

Finally went to check out the circuit board and turns out the wire isn't connected to anything in the circuit board.. crazy! I ended up not being able to change the temperature .. which turned out to be an issue b/c the water flow wasn't high enough. I don't remember that being an issue in the...

Any ideas where does this newly disconnected wire (oops) should go? Aquacal Heat pump

I discovered an easily fixable leak in our heat pump - phew, it was b/c a clamp slipped off so I fixed it, but then I saw the 15+ years of debris on the bottom of the unit and decided to clear it out - but there were roots so I pulled a little here and there and you guessed it, I pulled a set of...
