I’m posting my experience without much new information except the relatively minor issues I had with the Pentair High Power Wireless (HPW) Link Kit but I thought it might help to gather some of the URLs into a newer thread that might inspire someone else to upgrade to IntelliCenter.

And always run it for an hour because this works better. As time goes on and you find the optimal drain interval for your spa, the gunk won't be too bad at all.
3 years ago I stumbled across this forum when we bought a house with a spa and a pool. Before that I knew nothing about pools/spas. I've followed the spa sticky faithfully along with Ahh-Some during each drain and refill and have never had any issues. I always use bleach because it's so easy and...
You don't have to throw anything away, just clean everything well and maintain sanitation levels.
Check out this thread regarding Water Replacement Intervals (WRI) for chlorine spas: Do I really need to drain and re-fill my hot tub?
Here's another good discussion about WRI: good article in...

I got a few 32 and 54 last week which was pretty good for my Walmart. They still have stuff from 2017.
Why not use another bleach source? Walmart has 8.25% in the cleaning section and 10% in the pool section. Both are fairly cheap.

With a CYA of 100 you need higher FC (see FC/CYA chart in my signature) until you get the CYA into acceptable range (60-80) for SWG. Nothing wrong with helping out the SWG with bleach once in a while. This summer I'm running a similar-size SWCG at 80% for 10 or more hours per day(currently...
You really have to drain the pool to get the CYA down. Try draining 50% then refill and retest CYA. You may still need to drain more. There's plenty of swim days left.
Check out post #2 in this thread CYA test confusion for how to test CYA.
Yeah that's a scam. Most people will never notice and they get away with charging the same or more for less chlorine. Shame on Costco and others for accepting that nonsense.
If it's MPS (potassium monopersulfate) this will read as CC but as far as I know it won't impact FC.
MPS isn't a sanitizer in pools so make sure to use chlorine.
