Help i need a fence around our pool!

Check your regulations and find out exactly what you need. You'll probably have to put in a yard fence if you've got an inflatable ring pool.

New Sand Filter blowing sand into pool

What kind of sand did you put in it? Maybe it's the wrong size?

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

My plan was to use bricks & wood under the legs instead of the foam, but in the end I decided not to. The foam is very strong, I can stand on it with one foot while lifting up on the partially filled pool and the foam does not compress. It's rated for 3600lbs per sq ft. I bought the densest foam...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

Re: My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh Pool is only 1/3 full, I am waiting for the concrete to cure before filling it more. But it looks good so far. Seems within an inch all the way around. Sorry I don't know why it's double posting the images, I try to edit it and fix it but...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

Re: My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh Yea a frame with rock would probably work fine, but thats more work than I want to do right now. Mainly the setup & tear down every year. I built a foam cutter today and cut enough foam to rise 4 inches over an 8 foot span. I hope to lay them out...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

It's worse than I thought. 4-1/4 inches over the 12 foot diameter of my pool. Thats over 1/3 inch slope per foot. Crazy. Maybe I'll sell all my pool stuff and get a trampoline instead.

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

I didn't hire him to build a pool slab, I hired him to extend my patio so I had room for a pool on it. I should have been more specific.

He said "I wish you would have been more clear about what you wanted". :(

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

I talked to the contractor, he didn't really have any ideas. I'm going to try to make it work with brick under the posts and foam under the pool. If that doesn't work I might have it torn out and repoured. This $125 Intex pool has already cost me over $1000, whats a few more $$$$. The...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

Unfortunately I don't think this would work, because the new slab (on one side) is level with my existing patio. So unless I want this new patio section (remember it's only a pool for 4 months out of the year, the rest of the time it's a patio) to have a big step up, I can't do this. I'll talk...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

Yes I meant under the pool floor. I would use bricks or wood under the legs. I realize I can't just raise the legs, I also have to raise the floor under the liner, or else I'll be stressing the liner. So if I have a 4" piece of foam board under the lowest point, then a 3" a after that, then a...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

There many threads on here about people using foam under their pools? The water weight will be about 150 lbs per sq foot, I believe, or just over 1 lb per sq inch.

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

Ok, any ideas? Raise the legs on one side and put foam insulation under the liner? Maybe a 4" piece and then graduate to a 2" piece? Will the liner have problems where the floor height transitions due to the foam?

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

It's already sloped 3" in one direction, 2" in another, then 5" across the diagonal. Thats a lot of slope. Why not just one direction? When I first looked at it I thought was crooked. I don't think you are supposed to be able to easily visually see the slope. You can tell one corner is lower...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

He gave me a signed bid but it's short on specifics. So I've realized that the 5 inches is diagonal across the slab (which makes sense since my round pool will run that direction of course (because it's round!)). BUT that is across the entire slab, the pool is only 12 foot so the slope won't...

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

I know I mentioned it was for pool, but I never said anything like "I need a level slab for a pool". It's my fault for being unclear. I'm really considering paying him to tear it all out and redo it. Ugh.

My new pool slab has a 5" slope - ugh

I had a slab poured next to my patio to make my patio big enough for an AGP. The 12x30 metal frame pool will sit on the new slab, and I plan on upgrading to a 14x42 pool in a few years which will sit partly on the new slab. The slab was poured yesterday, today I checked the slope and found it's...

    Intex 12x30, which sand filter?

The other problem I am having is figuring which pump is which. For example Walmart.com says this 28645EG is 1600gph. But this other site says the 28645EG is 1200gph. And Intex says here that it's is 2100GPH! But if I download the manual that they provide on that page, there is no model 28645EG...

    Intex 12x30, which sand filter?

Hello all, I am working on setting up my first pool, an Intex 12x30 metal frame (1700 gallons). I was planning on getting the 1200gph Intex sand filter, is that adequate or should I be looking at larger one? I've read about larger pumps blowing the hoses off these smaller pools. I'm not sure...

Intex SWG - 7000 or 15000 gallon model? Also sand filter size questions.

I'm getting ready to put together my first pool, an Intex 12x30, 1700 gallons. I plan on purchasing a sand filter and SWG for it. My reasoning is I want it to be as low-maintenance as possible. My question is, is there any benefit to getting the 15,000 gallon SWG vs the 7,000 one? They are...
