When pool builder plumbed my pool they installed dummy cell. Well the tech came out to get pumps running (after filling pool for 1st time) and install the screenlogic kit. Well he removed the dummy cell and installed the IC40 on start up. I had assumed they'd install that after they come back...

If you really wanted to check. You should be able to take the ground wire at your junction box coming from the niche and ohm it out with the ground wire coming from your bond. I think anything under 1 ohm is considered acceptable.

Yes, pentair light does have a ground in already.

It's a Hayward niche. It does call for a wire but also called for it to be bonded on outside lug but PB says pool is bonded with skimmer that's why niche wasn't bonded.

That's the thing as you see in the pics min is not. My pool is bonded through the pool skimmer. So is ground wire on inside still necessary? I've been having issues with installers being lazy so I've been going over their work.

My pool being built is being bonded through the skimmer. So the pool light niche is not bonded. Does a ground wire still need to be installed on the inside grounding strip that also attaches to the bonding lug on the outside of the niche? I hope this makes sense.

Thanks, PB came out yesterday to collect payment and I did ask him about it, he said it'll fit. The reason they used the hayward had something to do with the way the conduit would fit. pentair wouldnt fit unless the dug up more conduit but they could make it work with the hayward.

Thanks, for some reason I was thinking gunite was more sensitive vs the plaster stage. That's probably in a few weeks I'm sure temps will be the same or higher :oops:

Having gunite done tomorrow and the high temp is going to be like 111* here in PHX tomorrow and I'm the 2nd job so probably 11-12ish start time...I'm a little nervous. I'll be on a strict watering schedule for curing.

i just add LC, have to add little over a quart daily according to pool math.
