Stone sealing - Split face & coping

I just used a sprayer a week ago or so to apply the HD. That really worked well. If too much pooled I was ready with a roller but never needed it on the flatter surfaces. On the waterfall I needed a rag to catch the small pools that quickly developed.

Stone sealing - Split face & coping

Re: Stone sealing - Split face & coping If you call them and ask (stonetech) they will tell you that you can also us the HD sealer. Its way cheaper. Its easy to apply and so far is great. Once you go to HD you cant go back to the saltwater sealer though because they are quite different. Water...

Did I just mess up big time or what :(

You are not alone. My problem was cracked parts in the filter but with the same result. It took several days but the little robot did his job. I had to brush the sides and especially the steps to help out.

    Flocculant www.factorydirectchemicals.com

Just wanted to alert everyone of a relatively cheap way to buy floc if you are willing to spend 100 at a time. Total Solutions Pool Clarifier | Factory Direct Chemicals Its 4 gallons of floc. Works well for me. They carry other chems as well, like: PH up - Sodium Hydroxide and Potassum Hydroxide...

    Water clarifiers and polishers?

I have a DE and I use flocculant. Sometimes I get a 5-8psi increase in the DE filter. I backwash for 10 seconds or less and its fine. I bought 4 gallons of floc online for 99 dollars. Pretty good price. Total Solutions Pool Clarifier | Factory Direct Chemicals I do like the fact that it clears...

    DuPont StoneTech Pro Sealers

So here is the tiny deck leading to the kitchen. Not a lot of salt water action will take place here and no rain as its covered. I think one layer of salt water sealer is fine here. Think I'll leave this area with just one coat. This stuffs expensive!

Can't remove return collar to install sprinkler cooler

This part is important. You screw it in first then screw the big part into it otherwise youre in the pool turning this big contraption into the side of the pool with all sorts of torque in the wrong directions and probably marginal success getting threads lined up. Also with my pool without this...

    Led Pool Bulbs

You should specify in-ground or above ground. The lights are quite different. I noticed ebay has a lot of above ground lights for great prices that are held to the side with magnets. I've never used an LED light for the pool, so no recommendation but I'll watch for what you find to work.

    DuPont StoneTech Pro Sealers

Only stippled the brush in pools after second coat. Here we are 13 minutes after second coat. In a few minutes I will dab the stone with a microfiber cloth and take a pic. You can see the grout has a small pool and on the left bottom side there is almost a film of white. When I dab it it will...

    DuPont StoneTech Pro Sealers

Ok. About 15-20 minutes after application. Going to do second coat. Less applied for second coat as experiments yesterday proved on this stone that less soaks in, but not much less.

    DuPont StoneTech Pro Sealers

First minute after application. This is a step at the entry to the backdoor that is made out of the same stone as the surround of the pool that I sealed last night. This step will see a lot of salt water drips.

    DuPont StoneTech Pro Sealers

Ok, I will ramble on a bit more. This is in regards to bead blasting. The bead blasting sucked. I still wouldnt pay their prices but it was more work than I had expected and am still waiting for inspiration to hit me on how to remove the beads from the pool without hurting my pump or back. I...

    DuPont StoneTech Pro Sealers

Rented a power washer to wash the decking within an inch of its life. I wanted it to get as close to new as possible before applying the sealer. The power washer was not doing a great job at removing some mildew so I returned it and had some guys from Taskaway Services here in The Woodlands come...

    Perplexed and frustrated. Please help!

The test strips are nice but if thats what you're using to test you should know they're not very accurate with CYA. I assume this because you tested zero CYA.

A Cheap Pool Cooler for the end of Summer

I'm in Houston and got no cooling in humid weather. This last week I could get 2.5-3 degree drop overnight. Worth it for temp but it also alters pH quite a bit in my pool. Still I'm a fan.

    Pentair Boost-Rite for my Polaris

Just wanted to let everyone know that I replaced my old Polaris pump that was screaming but still doing its job. I easily changed it out and installed the Pentair Boost-Rite in about 30 minutes. Can't remove return collar to install sprinkler cooler

Hi Yall Well I got it built and installed. I used sprinkler heads instead of drilling holes. I like the end result. I decided to plug it into the polaris return. I get a lot of power there and was worried about stressing the pump by to much backpressure so I installed a spigot on the cooler. I...
