    Upgrade Options?

I was thinking about upgrading a very aged pool pump. Currently i have a Hayward Super 2 with a 1.65hp motor. I was looking at the Hayward W3SP3206VSP TriStar Variable-Speed Pool Pump with the 2.7 HP motor. Its pricey... Does anyone have any other recommendations? Something that can work ok...

    Prologic Auto Valve Actuator Question

Thanks. So the version of my ProLogic Board cant do what i need. I was kinda thinking the same but hoping i was just missing something. The documentation about the suction valves does not really apply to me. The pool and spa have separate pumps/filters. Separate plumbing. Although there is an...

    Prologic Auto Valve Actuator Question

Can someone please help me out with the right way to configure the prologic? My main equipment: 1 Pool Filter/Pump (Inground Cleaning System Caretaker99 that cycles and with one cycle returns to spa for overflow to pool) 1 Spa Filter/Pump - On AUX1 (This is supposed to be just for the spa but...

Hayward Colorlogic 4 - Not working

I have a Hayward Colorlogic 4 (W3SP0527LED100) which stopped working out of nowhere. Nothing tripped, and it's not even flashing. I also have a W3SP0535LED100 which was installed at the same time in the spa, and it's still working perfectly fine. I have a Hayward Prologic board with a...

    Looking for recommendation for fountain

Thanks! My water chemistry is actually fine. Having a salt cell with an prologic automation system and a robotic pool cleaner i am sure helps :) I was thinking of it more for show than anything.

    Looking for recommendation for fountain

You can see my pool in my profile pic. I have two 2" outlets that come straight from a 2hp pump that basically pushes the top layer towards the skimmer at the deep end of the pool. There is on all the way on the bottom left corner, and another on the right side a bit past where the shallow steps...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

Sorry for the late response. My issue ended up being both the motor assembly and the line. Luckily it was still under warranty and got fixed at my local authorized warranty center. If it were just the motor/circuit board i would have been able to do it myself. But with the line also being...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

If I ever get a new unit like this the first thing I’m doing is opening it up and putting in that water sensor.

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

After some more testing, i found one motor went bad as well as the motor circuit board. This all started from a small leak that sprung apparently from a defective factory seal. I have a replacement motor on order. By chance does anyone know the exact size of the seal? Couple thoughts; It's...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

Ebay Definitely not new. New to me. And better then my obviously burnt circuit board. It seems to have made some progress, now lift works. With one side not running. And no programs work still, with same error 10. Either i plugged in the motors wrong, or i also have a faulty motor. They all...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

Soldering on a new capacitor did not fix it. Looks like possibly more was burnt besides the capacitor. The original circuit board would either require professional repair or goes in the garbage. A replacement board should be getting delivered in a few days. All because a top of the line pool...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

Eventually I ended up taking off the motor housing. And it was not completely dry inside. The circuit board had a fried capacitor. Most likely from getting wet. Makes no sense to me to replace the entire motor assembly just for a circuit board issue. As much as Polaris would like this. Nope not...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

I did this and unfortunately it didn't solve the issue. A couple fasters were kind of loose in the plug so was hoping that did it by tightening them. Nope :( I did notice some wear on the line right before that plug, its very little wear, not enough wear to actually make a hole in the...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

Thanks. I did check continuity and was fine when I checked. But maybe it’s intermittent because of a loose connection. If it’s just a wire I have no problem shortening a bit or modifying as needed, as long as the modified part is not in the water. Otherwise waterproofing a splice may be an issue...

    Polaris 9650IQ - Another error 10

It's no more than 4 years old. Based on searches i have done, that seems to be the threshold for this dreaded error 10. From my searches, most posts are years old. I was just wondering if there was any new info on this error? The cleaners propellor starts and runs for about 2-3 seconds when any...

Hayward AquaConnect "Lost link" and Unit not communicating with cloud server

Same thing seems to have started happening with google dns as well. Soon no public dns servers will support whatever type of dns the device is sending. Maybe sending large tcp dns packets? Makes no sense why tho. Unless the internal software was developed really crappy.

How to get rid of these spots on pool floor?

I test regularly. I have never needed to add chemicals to get levels correct. Sometimes I super chlorinate using the salt cell. That’s it.

How to get rid of these spots on pool floor?

Thank you I’ll give this a try. This is a salt water pool. I don’t add any chemicals. The pool is always very clean and clear. It’s just this one spot I can’t seem to get rid of.

How to get rid of these spots on pool floor?

I tried to use some hydrochloric acid on the pool floor. This is in the deep end, so got one of those sticks with the acid holder on the end. Didn’t work. It looks almost like dirt. But it’s not. It won’t come out no matter what I have tried so far.
