I backwash in the morning and evening. I'm about to go home and vac all the gunk out now that I can see. Probably gonna lay off the backwash till it needs it. Pressure has been good just backwashing to clear out. Read it does better a little dirty.

Also went to the pool store to get a test on everything that my kit doesnt. They said I had 1.0 ppm copper small amount of iron and high phosphates. Do I need to take action on any of this or keep on with the bleach. Which I'm almost 30 bottles in.

That's from this morning. Filter is actually getting dirty again which is good. Visibility is better I can now clearly see the eyeball. Color pretty much looks the same but I guess some progress is better than no progress.

I think I found the problem. All of the sand...every bit of it was covered in algae. Got it all out and scrubbed the inside with bleach. Before I fill sand back should i fill half way with bleach and water? Edit: Wife on her way with new sand.

The pressure is 11 psi after backwash. The sample is very cloudy from the pool. You can barely make put the bottom. I will compare them when I get back home. To clean the sand filter, how would I do that? I can youtube it or is there a way you guys recommend?

Today only a few times but yesterday after noon I tested every hour to 2 hours. Only dropped 3 at most. Last I checked was 9 pm and it was 16. It was slightly a bright green after brushing was the only color change since Monday afternoon when I started with the bleach,
