Why did they do it this way?

Check valves will hold up to chlorine. I work in water. So probably why I’m a fan of them. They do make chemical resistant items that hold up well. At work I use 6-7 gallons per minute. The cell will probably be a Hayward. So it will plumb into my Omni pl system with no problem. Thanks for...

Why did they do it this way?

Thanks for ideas. Check valve or not. I’m not happy with the way they did the plumbing. Even if I went with an inline liquid chlorine feed. I would have a check valve. I’m just used to them I guess.

Why did they do it this way?

Thanks for your feedback. A check valve before the salt cell. Not a fan of chlorine into a heater. The 45 is dumb and should have been done on the vac line. Which is never used since we have a robot and manual vac from the skimmer. This doesn’t have a dedicated floor inlet. Will have to...

Why did they do it this way?

Newer build. Yet the more I look at my setup. I scratch my head even more. Enough to go bald! Well more bald than before. I mean why 45 degree the skimmer side to the pump? The rise and drop of pipe elevation after the pump and before the filter. Then from the filter to the future salt cell. No...

DEP 500 Series pleated element D.E. filters

Have one now. Seems to be working well. Only been a couple weeks. I have the 100 model. Pressure gauge hasn’t really moved. Will backwash it though soon as it’s a new build. See how dirty it is.

    New Build Southern CA

Thanks for the additional idea. They started and finished digging. The pool designer said today he was thinking of making a change and moving the light to the end section. Then I asked about just adding another light instead of moving. Of course at additional cost. These Hayward’s are cheap...

    NPT Micro Stonescapes pool pics

Thinking of changing ours from mini midnight with abalone to micro in the moraine. Do you think we should see a large spike in price? Do we keep the abalone? Not sure how they priced ours before for the mini. Yet I would think since this uses the glass beads. It should be about equal?

Advice on what to do with pool contractor $14000 unexpected charge

Sorry to hear about this and hopefully resolved by now. Any dump fees need to include invoices from the dump directly. With dates and times along with vehicle identification for each. I would also make sure any business invoices or copies are not just being produced. All are generally...

    New Costco AGP.

So I'm thinking of getting the Costco 18x9 pool for the family. It's $500 right now in store. Working on getting ground level and electrical lines ran. Have a test kit on order. After I get it and start filling. Was thinking of adding stabilizer to a sock while filling. Have it in front of...
