I will get a picture after work. I did hold 11 FC overnight with no drop, which seems strange considering the pool was dark green and I just started with the CL 8 hours before dark. The pool is a dark bluish gray now. CYA measured out at 15-ish and I added 4 pounds, its in skimmer socks...

So the color looks way way more vibrant than the 8.2 on the block. I have a brand new tf test kit pro in the zipper case. The comparator block seems cheap.

It was way above the scale with fc at 0 and with it at 8.5. It was a magenta color, not dark purple.

Testing PH of just opened pool. Test shows crazy high ph, off the charts. I have added a gallon of fresh muriatic acid now and it still shows high. Keep adding acid? Pool is green, was clear when closed. Inground, mesh cover. Lots of worms the robot is picking up

Tf100 kit and I got it mid summer last year. I'm going to order a new one tonight. I was trying to get the TA up to 80, it was what the pool math app was recommending

Tested my TA the other day and it was 60. Pool math said to add 6 pounds of baking soda to raise it to 80 so I did last night. Tested today and my TA is 100? What the heck? I am guessing on pool volume from my water bill when I did the liner replacement and from chlorine additions and testing...

Got a rubber stopper that fit and jammed it tight with a piece of pvc pipe. Dang line holds pressure! After I tested that, my wife said to check out behind the pool house. All of the standing water is gone!!!!! I am going to watch the water level for another day but I think it's fixed. Stupid...

I tried that plug, the end that goes in the pipe is too big. That's the smallest any of the stores have. I'm thinking rubber stopper with something bracing it from behind to hold pressure.

Still leaking. I cannot find a plug locally that I can plug that main drain with.

My pool was also fine for 3 weeks after opening then started losing water fast, not quite as fast as yours. My hydrostatic valve is bad. I have one more bit of plumbing to check but I hope the valve was the culprit.

Alright, got me a new valve and rigged up a tool from some 2 3/4" exhaust pipe from the muffler shop. Get a 1 foot long piece (at least 8" or your handle will hit the pool floor) Used some 3/8 bar for a handle through two drilled holes. Used a cut off disc and a file to make slots for the valve...

Post work update: pulled main drain cover, only took 3 dives! LOL Hydrostatic valve is bad. Not taking dye that I could see but the o rings are swelled up and chunky in a BAD way. Like over 1/4" thick. Is there a DIY tool for these things? I also need to get a plug for the main drain, its...

Its 8 feet at the main when full, but about 2.5-3 feet of water is out right now. However, I need to plug that drain line so I can get like 20-30 psi running into the line so I can listen for the leak. Results after work today!

I'll swim down and tackle it one handed tomorrow after work. At least I know I can hook my air compressor up and blow the lines this fall! Can I use a plug from the return to plug the main drain? I'll also call the pool store and see if they have a new hydrostatic valve on hand. I can...

I am waiting for traffic to die down this evening and trying the compressed air in the drain again. Do the main drains take a screw plug like the wall returns? That's my next step, plug the main drain and test the hydrostatic valve.

I have, twice. Third times the charm I guess lol

Also of note: the water is below the skimmer and all 3 returns so they aren't the source of the leak.
