Need a little help with another SLAM

about 4-5 weeks ago we opened to a swamp so started to SLAM. It was a slow process as we had to plug our skimmer due to a leak in the line and just filter with 1 intake and constantly run the aquabot. After a few weeks we finally removed all leaves and debri and the water cleared and we passed...

New Liner, New water, switching to TFPC-need a little help

I tested twice before I added and twice this morning as I'm teaching my daughter how to test. And we just got our liner changed and we figured out gallons based on those measurements. No rain, no swimmers. Good thing I didn't add the whole amount it called for. Definetly a learning experience...

New Liner, New water, switching to TFPC-need a little help

After having my morning cup of coffee, I realized that I should do a FAS/DPD test (I have the TF100) to find out the exact FC. I'm sure I will get a hang of this. Here were my results FC 4.5 CC .5 I know its ok to swim, but should I be concerned about CC? The water is crystal clear and the sun...

Thank you! got hth stabilizer from which is 98.5%. On the chart it says to add 64oz. to 30 ppm for 20,000, but when I put my numbers in poolmath it says to add 8.5 oz. That is a VERY big difference. Not sure how much to add....

    Getting started after new liner

Makes sense about the CC! thanks! A little scary to think this is our drinking water. As for the CYA, I'm going to have to get liquid form as they found a leak in both the skimmer line and the intake line. Since the lines are partially underneath concrete we have a temporary hose going to the...

New Liner, New water, switching to TFPC-need a little help

We were using Pristine Blue for 8 years and although it was super convenient after reading about it I don't want to use it anymore. We are getting a new liner installed next week and will be filling it with town water. I have to order a test kit today, but haven't quite decided which one, but...

    Pristine Blue

I have read pool school and the TFP method seems like a lot of work compared to what I've been doing with PB over the past 8 years. I'm just second guessing if my water is being properly sanitized.

    Pristine Blue

I have been using Pristine Blue for 8 years now without any problems-no stains, no green hair, and it's super easy and the pool always looks good. I only put it in every 2 weeks with 2lbs of sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione fast acting shock. I will also put this shock in 1-2 a week when there...
