Probably miscalculation.....thought I had good system down but I guess I screwed up. Would the high chlorine cloud the pool or is that from the rain? And if I'm doing the bleach method should I have the pucks floating in pool or stop using them?

Ok so my chlorine level is super high and I literally stopped putting in the drops from my test kit cause I didn't want to waste them.......I have been using bleach as needed and have not put any in the pool in a day and a half and level not decreasing......and now pool is cloudy since it rained...

Just curious how come the new test kit shows free chlorine at 2.4ppm and the test strips I had before show zero and pool store test show zero .....just want to make sure I'm doing test right and pool is safe for kids to swim in

Ok day 2 test after putting in the recommended bleach per pool math free chlorine is at 2.4 combined chlorine is at .6 not sure if that makes sense at all so hopefully I'm doing the test right. I put in pool math that I wanted free chlorine to get to 3 so almost got there from the .2ppm...

thanks one more question? Do I need to super chlorinate? When I opened the pool the pool store told me just to throw three bags of dura shock in and it would be good to go. Obviously the chlorine level never went up so then they said there may be chlorine lock and wanted to sell me a bunch...

Hi I got the test kit as recommended and here r the results: ph 7.2 calcium hardness 110 total alkalinity 100 cyanuric acid 35 free chlorine .2 total chlorine .6 saturation between .1 and .2 please advise how to go from here as I'm new to this.....thanks!

I absolutely want to be done with the pool store.....year after year their advice has been poor at best. They did a computerized test so the results I posted are probably accurate and I will definitely order a recommended test kit. What can I do in the meantime so the pool doesn't get out of...

Ok so I opened pool filled it up and have clear water.....pool store told me to use three bags of dura shock to open based on pool size (a/g 27 round).....shocked pool and next day strip shows no chlorine. sample brought to pool store shows FC .12 ppm - TC .45 ppm - CC .33 ppm - PH 7.2 -...
