I have been on vacation for a week but while I was gone I had my mom test and add chlorine once a day. She was adding 2 gallons every night to bring FC up to 20ppm and it is still dropping a lot overnight. From 8pm last night till 10:30 today (very overcast and rainy) it lost 14 pom.

So far I've only added a ton of liquid chlorine, 4lbs soda ash, 4lbs baking soda, and 4lbs cya. No other pool chemicals were used.

Well kept fc over 10 for a couple days and its not any better. Added a gallon last night and it was at 0 when I checked it at 10am, added another gallon and its only at .2ppm now at 2:30.

It has a cheap intex blue bubble cover but it is about 4 feet too small for the pool. It was the only thing that was easily attainable locally. Update on the 10% from rural king. Just tested before and after. 1ppm FC before, added around 1.5gal according to pool math to take it to 15ppm. Checked 1 hour later and its at 22ppm... looks like its more like 12.5% stuff.
