    Salt cell not keeping up

Thank you all. I’ll increase my CYA and increase my cel to 80% for twelve hours a day. I’m still trying to find the perfect balance for pump RPMs and power usage while achieving Chlorine balance

    Salt cell not keeping up

Thank you sir. I remember reading an article here that said salt pools should be kept on the low end for CYAs, around 30-40. I know I’m still below that and it needs to come up. Just not sure where I should land if I take that article into account. I’ll see if I can find it.

    Salt cell not keeping up

My salt cell isn’t keeping up. I pulled it and cleaned it. I have it running at 1175RPMs for 12hours at 50%. I’m making adjustments but it doesn’t seem to matter. I just installed a WaterGuru to help monitor more frequently since I’m away a lot. Also my CSI isn’t in range. Should I care?

    Automation

I am automating my pool April 5th, yay. With the system already installed it sounds like we are bound for the Omni system. I would like a gadget that allows me to check the chlorine and Ph from my hotel room 5hours away. Then I’d like to be able to make changes to the Aquarite to increase or...

    New pool questions

okay. I’ll have to work on that a bit and get back to you. I’m deciding wether to drain and winterize right now or keep the pump on and chance a power outage. All this while being out of town. One problem at a time...will resume this conversation soon enough.

    Cold weather issue

Thank you guys for the tips. It definitely helps speed up the learning curve and might just save me some damage. South Texas isn’t suppose to be 🥶 frozen... Anything below 70 just ain’t right 😂 . We aren’t designed for this.

    Cold weather issue

Corpus Christi here. I survived the two days of mid 20sF by running the pump and heating the pool. Now I’ve lost electricity, the temps are above freezing now but are suppose to get back down mid 20s Thursday. I’m not sure what to do. I’m going to shut off the power supply, cover the pad with...

    New pool questions

I just bought a house that has a pool that’s about a year old. 1. The Calcium Hardness is about 650 and the water used to fill the pool has a CH of 150. I drained a large amount of water due to rain and it didn’t drop the CH levels. Could the CH levels be related to leaching from the pool...

    Cold weather issue

I’m out of town and we were about to hit 25F for around 48hrs. My wife doesn’t know how to work any thing so i was able to get her to enable cold temp pump run and set the heater to the lowest setting possible. Definitely going to cost me some cash but better than pool damage was my thinking. If...

    too many options

Thank you for that information! I hope it works out the the Savant home automation I am planning on installing soon. I am not sure how smart the navigation is though, seems to be kinda random and goes back and forth in places. Also, when it cleans the water line it only does about a foot then...

It has taken 13 days to come down from 27 to 15. that is with several inches of rain. I know winter slows down the chlorine needs but this is way slower than I have ever experienced. Normally I'd be ecstatic but since I don't know this pool, I am a little concerned. On another note, I contacted...

That is true, just haven't ever experience my previous chlorine pools behave so stable, even in winter. New pool growing pains lol. I am having trouble with my 'four wheeled 'The Pool Cleaner'. In two days FC has only dropped from 27 to 24.5, which I would normally be ecstatic about but this time I am wondering why. I turned the SWG to off and we've been using the hot tub both nights. This might just be a salt thing but I find the slow drop interesting. Whatcha think? Conditions...

Thank you sir, I will do that. I thought the CH needed to be around 400, mine is 600. The water from the tap has a CH of 150. Will TA be off with FC that high? My TA is 120, which is about double the recommended as I see it. I am really excited about this pool, it is beautiful. Whats the best...

I have managed other peoples chlorine pools with great success off this site. These other pools were very basic manual pumps and systems. Thank you for all you guys help. My pool is doing great, should be all set. Only other thing is cleaning the tile along the edge; i'm using pumice stones but it isn't quite cutting it, any suggestions to help get it looking good? I believe its a mix of calcium and sunscreen/body scum. Links to...

That's not an option since it is a six-plex rental but I appreciate the recommendation. Thank you for letting me know a 2-4ppm drop is common, felt like a lot to me. On a positive, the pool is so clear, everyone keeps telling me how great a job I am doing. Thank you all who have helped...

I have gotten approval to switch to 10% bleach and have been doing this for a few weeks now. my new numbers results FC: 11.5 CC: 0.5 TC: 12 CA: 325 TA: 40 CYA: 60 Should I wait until FC is at maintenance level before making other changes, such as, bringing TA from 40 up to recommended target of 80?
