I edited. I am just going to drain and refill 50% I read that CYA never goes away. I want to be between 30-50 like the chart says. Only way to do that is to replace water. Taking this as a lesson learned. If I'd used poolmath first I'd have known it was to much regardless of what the pool...

To raise the ph, should just get this 20 Mule Team® Borax Natural Laundry Booster. and not use the pool store product I've already bought? Or can I use it till its gone store product is called ez clor ph up.

I am working through the links. I am moving to household bleach. Is it true that bleach takes the place of both the shock treatment and the dispenser with pucks. I should just take the dispenser out and test the water each day and add bleach to keep the fc between 1 and 3?
