    Hayward pump noise

On my system I have the main pump which is a 1 HP - c48k2n143b1. I have a booster pump for running the pool cleaner or any other feature (which I don't have). Would you think I still need a variable speed pump? Thanks Roger

    Hayward pump noise

This morning we went outside and found that our pump was making a loud noise. Not sure what I should do short of just replacing the pump. It was installed in June 2015 - so it is 4 years old. I've attached a zip file that you can open to hear the noise. Thanks Roger

    Above ground to In-Ground pool

It has been 6 years since I converted to Chlorine and had perfect pool chemistry - I converted to salt in 2010 and this past weekend I noticed that my 17 year old above ground pool had rust issues on the bottom of the wall. On opening this year - I dropped a few things through my deck that is...

Additional information regarding my conversion: I ordered the TF100 test kit - and had it on hand when I started - no doubt the best thing to do. However, I should have ordered addtional 871 reagent as I ran out on Monday - day 5 - primarily due to the fact that on Thursday, Friday and...

Successfully passed the overnight test!!!!!!!!! FC = 14 CC =.5 Today (after work) I will be changing out the sand and will add CYA! At this point I will shock it again to be sure nothing grew during the day. When I add CYA - do I need to add enough to get it to 30? Roger.

Since I am getting very close to completing my conversion :-D - I need to do something with the ladder that I use with my pool. It is the one shown here. Right now it is not in the pool - but it has rock/sand and some Baq water still in it. I am thinking I need to empty all rock/sand, etc...

One more thing I forgot.... I went to the pool store today - and they were closed!!! :( I was only 30 minutes late (2:30). You would think that Saturday would be their busiest day. So I went of Home Depot and got the pool sand. But could not find any CYA. They had a very skimpy...

Thanks Jason - - what I considered the hardest part is past now - as the gunk from the Baguacil is gone - now its just a matter of killing the remaining nasties that are in the water. Yesterday was very very busy keeping the pump backwashed and helping getting the gunk off the top - not to...

Today I purchased 10 cases of bleach at Sam's - so right now I have 11 cases remaining. That's about 44 gallons. If I keep going every hour or so - even through part of the night - will that help or hurt the process? As of 1:00pm my tests were as follows: FC = 11 CC = 12 If I read them...
