Ok gents. Passed OCLT and CC is a 0. I don't see any signs of algae, dead or alive.

Passed CC test and my OCLT test did not move last night. Same on both test. The water is clear and blue. Just not really sure on the dead algae part.

One more question. The SLAM process states to adjust ph at the beginning because anything over 10 chlorine is unreliable. When keeping it in slam this long do you not worry about PH?

If you are preforming a OCLT and a bad storm comes through your area does that void your results?

Haven't done a OCLT yet. Was waiting for the water clarity part first. 9 days? Seems longer. Ok..will keep going.

I have been at SLAM level for awhile now. The water is clear and blue but when I use the brush I still see a small cloud being pushed around. Which would suggest algea still sitting at the bottom, correct? I am vacuuming and brushing daily. It just seems all that should be out by now. Am I...

I guess my confusion with the brushing is that the cloud is green. If it was dead algae, wouldn't it be white?

Well nothing seems to be on the polyfil except tree debris from the skimmer. The OCLT was at a 1.5 difference on one test. I tested again to make sure and it gave me a 1. So I tested again and it gave me a 1.5. So I'm guessing it failed??

Ok. I will do the OCLT test tonight. Will post the results in the morning. As far as the CYA test, I hate that thing. Lol. I'm always do I see it, don't see it. I tested multiple times and got 60 both times. I will test tomorrow in the sunlight. We haven't had sunlight here for two weeks now...

I tried to post a video but I dont know how to size it. When I brush the pool, it pushes a green cloud across the bottom, so I'm saying it's agae not metal's. But how is algae alive after being so high on FC for days now?

Ok, I went by Leslie's Pool store and ha e them test my water. It is way different from my Taylor's test. These is the results. FC- 12.73 Total- 13.26 PH- 8.3 Alk- 71 Calcium- 168 CYA- 81 Iron- 0 Copper- 0.1 Phosphates- 383 This is way different from my test but the metals surprised me...

A very loooong SLAM. I lost it over the winter. Had to start over. Had to batch new water in to bring the organics down some and then SLAM to clear it up.

Here ya go. When Slaming is it more important to maintain the SLAM level or the sudden rise to that level? My SWG is oversized for my pool to allow plenty of supply for my pool. I did that on purpose. My SWG brought it up to SLAM level pretty quick. I wanted to see if it would get it up to 24...
