Sand and Debris from Filter in Pool

I searched over all of my pool plumbing and I cannot find anything that looks like any check valve that I can find a picture of on the web. I'll try to attach a picture taken during the build (a contractor did it). On another note, if I turn my multi-Port to Closed, the problem goes away...

Sand and Debris from Filter in Pool

It wasn't the key assembly [emoji17] I guess I have a cracked lateral or standpipe. Another problem that started around same time is that the spa water level would drop overnight. I guess whatever is broken is causing the plumbing to lose vacuum/seal and allowing water to go backwards through...

Sand and Debris from Filter in Pool

I've got a 3 yr old pool and for the second time this week it pumped sand into my spa and pool. It seems to only happen when I switch it to spa mode. I've read all that I can on here, but I've got more research to do. I just wanted to see if anyone else had this particular problem. When I switch...

Can I add Diatomaceous Earth to any sand filter?

My apologies if this has been discussed before. Can I add DE to ANY sand filter, or does it have to be a specially designed filter? If I can, what is easiest way to do it? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Crack in sidewall of 2 y.o fiberglass pool.

I wasn't home, but the guy sent me pictures. They had to take about 2/3 of water out. They pumped it into a bladder, but the bladder burst! He ground the fiberglass down at the crack then re-glassed it and applied new gel coat. It looks like new. Now I just have to get my pool water chemistry...

Crack in sidewall of 2 y.o fiberglass pool.

Update for those following. Our pool is fixed. Leisure Pools didn't ask any questions. They have a fiberglass repairman who travels all over, and he happened to be in SC this past week. He did a great job, and he said that he thought the fiberglass shell probably had a hidden defect from...

Crack in sidewall of 2 y.o fiberglass pool.

I just noticed a 2 inch crack in the sidewall of our 2 y.o pool! I haven't contacted the installer yet because it's after business hours, but I wanted to get any advice you all have. I assume he'll suggest epoxy to get a quick fix, but I don't like that idea. The pool is manufactured by Leisure...

Cleaning rust stains from fiberglass spa seat and floor?

A bottle cap got into our fiberglass hot tub, and made some rust stains on the seat and bottom. Anyone have any tips on removing the stains while the water is still in tub? Looking for something that's not abrasive! 15,000 gal fiberglass pool and spa, SWG, Pentair variable speed pump, Easy...
